Australia Student Visa Consultants in Ahmedabad

Australia has consistently been one of the most popular study destinations for students from Gujarat. The universities are excellent, the lifestyle is welcoming, and the post-study work options are strong. But the visa process has become considerably more rigorous in recent years, especially for Indian applicants.

India is currently classified under Evidence Level 3 for Australian student visa applications, which means your financial and personal documents will be examined in greater detail than those from many other countries. The old Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) requirement has been replaced by the Genuine Student (GS) assessment, which now asks you to answer specific questions directly in your ImmiAccount application.

If you’re applying without proper guidance, these changes are easy to get wrong.
At Dynamic Education Consultants, we understand what the Department of Home Affairs is looking for from Indian applicants right now. We help you prepare documentation that meets the current standard, write your Genuine Student responses clearly, and build a full application that holds together under scrutiny.

How Dynamic Prepares You for Australia

When you work with us, here’s what you actually get.

We know what Evidence Level 3 means for your documents. For Indian applicants, standard documents need to be supported with stronger evidence of genuine intent and financial stability. We brief you on this from day one.

We guide you through the Genuine Student assessment. The GS statement in ImmiAccount is your chance to explain why you’re applying, why you chose this specific course, and why Australia. We help you answer these questions in a way that’s specific, credible, and honest.

We match you with the right institution. Not every university in Australia is right for every student. We look at your academic background, your career goals, and your budget to find the best fit, including options beyond the Group of Eight for students who need cost-effective programs.

We review your financial proof carefully. Australian Home Affairs looks for financial stability over time, not just a large balance on a single day. We help you understand what documents to use and how far back your records need to go.

Our students study across Australia, including in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth.

Why Australia Remains a Strong Choice for Indian Students

The reasons to choose Australia for higher education go beyond just rankings. Here’s what students from Ahmedabad consistently value:

Research and academic quality. Australia has eight research-intensive universities known as the Group of Eight, including the University of Melbourne, Australian National University, and the University of Sydney. These are genuinely world-class institutions with strong research output and industry linkages.

Post-study work visa. After graduating, you’re eligible for the Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485), which lets you work in Australia for 2 to 4 years, depending on your qualification level and where you studied. This is one of the longer post-study work rights available globally.

A shorter path to permanent residency. Australia’s skilled migration points system rewards international graduates with Australian qualifications and work experience. If long-term residency is on your mind, Australia offers a relatively clear route.

Quality of life. Australia consistently ranks among the best places in the world for student wellbeing, safety, and campus experience. For families sending children abroad, this matters.

Part-time work allowed. Student visa holders in Australia can work up to 48 hours per fortnight during their course. This helps students manage living costs and gain local work experience at the same time.

Australia Student Visa Fees and Processing Time

Fee Component Amount (2026)
Visa Application Fee (Subclass 500) AUD 2,500 from July 2026 (approx. Rs. 1,37,000)
Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) AUD 500 to AUD 700 per year approx.
Medical Examination (if required) Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 10,000 approx.
VFS / VAC Service Charges Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 5,000 approx.

Standard processing time: 4 to 8 weeks for complete applications. Complex cases or those requiring medical assessments may take longer.

Financial Requirements for an Australia Student Visa

The Department of Home Affairs expects you to demonstrate that you can cover both your tuition fees and your living costs for the duration of your stay. The official benchmark for living costs is AUD 29,710 per year for a single student.\

This means your total funds needed include your full tuition fees plus AUD 29,710 for each year of your course. If you’re bringing a spouse, additional amounts are required for them and any dependent children.

For Indian applicants under Evidence Level 3, financial documents need to reflect stability over time. A sudden large deposit shortly before your application raises questions. Bank statements showing a consistent balance over 3 to 6 months are far more convincing than a recent lump sum. Education loan sanction letters from recognised Indian banks are also accepted as supporting evidence.

FAQs About USA Student Visa

The Genuine Student requirement replaced the Genuine Temporary Entrant statement in November 2023. Instead of submitting a separate written document, you now answer a set of structured questions within the ImmiAccount application, each capped at around 150 words. The questions cover your reasons for choosing the course, your understanding of what studying in Australia involves, and your plans after completing your degree. The answers need to be specific and personal, not generic.

Evidence Level 3 means that Indian applicants are required to provide more detailed financial and supporting documentation than applicants from lower-risk countries. It does not mean you’re more likely to be rejected. It means you need to be more thorough. Properly documented applications from Indian students are approved regularly. The issue arises when documentation is incomplete, inconsistent, or doesn’t reflect the financial situation accurately.

Yes, you can apply for a new student visa or extend your current one if your course duration changes. You need a new CoE from your institution reflecting the updated end date. Apply well before your current visa expires. Processing times for extensions are similar to the original application.

From July 2023, the work hour cap was reinstated at 48 hours per fortnight during your studies. This replaced the temporary unlimited work hours that were allowed during the post-COVID period. During official university vacations, you can work unlimited hours. Always verify your specific work conditions as they appear on your visa grant notice.

The Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485) allows you to live and work in Australia after graduation. The Graduate Work stream gives 18 months and requires your qualification to be linked to a skilled occupation. The Post-Study Work stream gives 2 to 4 years depending on your qualification level. You must apply within 6 months of receiving your final results. It’s one of the most attractive features of studying in Australia.

Australia rewards students who prepare properly and apply honestly. It’s a country that wants you there, provided the paperwork reflects that clearly.

At Dynamic Education Consultants in Ahmedabad, we make sure it does.
